"Pagkain ng Gulay Ugaliin, Araw-araw itong ihain"

"Eat Vegetables: Promote a Better Lifestyle"

"The food you eat is what makes up you". The kind of diet we put in our body can make a lot of differences. A lot of people now have been giving up eating diets that consist of meat and turn instead to eating vegetables. Eating vegetables can benefit our body. In fact, if we know how to eat vegetarian food correctly, that is, eating to get all the nutrients in our body.
First of all, we will have a healthy mind. This will help us build stamina to cope with problems in today's world...Second, vegetarian food help make our body strong, because vegetables have many vitamins and minerals to help our body healthy. Finally, vegetarian foods are good medicine for diseases. If more people become vegetarians, the world will become more peaceful because every people which makes up the world will have less desire to kill their fellow beings of the world whoever they may be.
We, people are becoming aware of the benefits of eating healthily to promote a better lifestyle. Cutting down on red meats, fat, sugar and salt will go a long way to help us stay healthy. However, eating less or no 'culprit' foods will not make us become healthy if we do not eat more fresh fruits and especially vegetables. Vegetables contain important vitamins and minerals. These vitamins and minerals are easily destroyed by heat, so eating fresh vegetables is a better option. We should include one to two servings of fresh vegetables everyday. This does not mean that we do not eat cooked vegetables, for these are also beneficial in their own way.
Also, we should always remember to eat a wide variety of fresh vegetables to obtain as much vitamins and minerals as possible. Different vegetables have different vitamins and minerals. We should start the practice today and we will be on our way to a healthier body.
